عبداللطيف جميل للسيارات ومؤسسة مجتمع جميل الأهلية تطلقان «جائزة جميل للتمور» ضمن كرنفال بريدة الدولي للتمور – أخبار السعودية

أطلقت عبداللطيف جميل للسيارات، الموزع المعتمد لسيارات تويوتا منذ عام 1955، ومؤسسة مجتمع جميل الأهلية، والتي تعد ذراع المسؤولية الاجتماعية لعائلة جميل «جائزة جميل للتمور»، لتؤسس بذلك منصة سنوية جديدة تهدف إلى تكريم المزارعين المحليين والممارسات الزراعية التي تسهم في ازدهار قطاع التمور في المملكة. وتركز النسخة الافتتاحية للجائزة على ملاك مزارع تمور «السكري» المسجلة والمستوفية للشروط، وهو أحد أجود أصناف التمور السعودية الشهيرة بحلاوتها المميزة.

وتهدف «جائزة جميل للتمور» إلى تعزيز الجانب الاجتماعي وتطوير قطاع التمور في المملكة من خلال تكريم المزارعين لقاء التزامهم بمعايير الجودة الزراعية، والسلامة، وأفضل الممارسات، والإدارة المسؤولة للأراضي، إلى جانب تسليط الضوء على الإرث الغني لزراعة التمور بالقصيم وإسهامها في تعزيز المكانة العالمية للتمور السعودية.

وبصفتها الراعي الرئيسي لكرنفال بريدة الدولي للتمور، الحدث الأكبر عالمياً في قطاع التمور، أطلقت عبد اللطيف جميل للسيارات هذه الجائزة بالتعاون مع مؤسسة مجتمع جميل الأهلية كشريك مؤسس، وبدعم من الكرنفال بصفته الشريك المستضيف والفني. وتأتي الجائزة للاحتفاء بالمزارعين والممارسات الزراعية المبتكرة التي ترتقي بصناعة التمور في منطقة القصيم، بما يتكامل مع طموحات رؤية المملكة 2030 لتطوير القطاع الزراعي وتعزيز حضور المنتجات الوطنية في الأسواق العالمية.

ويُعد قطاع التمور بالقصيم ركيزة أساسية لهويتها الثقافية واقتصادها المحلي، حيث تضم المنطقة أكثر من 11 مليون نخلة تسهم في ترسيخ موقع المملكة كأحد أبرز المنتجين والمصدرين للتمور على مستوى العالم.

وتركز النسخة الأولى على تمور «السكري»، الصنف الأكثر ارتباطاً بزراعة القصيم وتراثها. وحيث يستحوذ كرنفال بريدة الدولي للتمور على أكثر من 85% من إجمالي إنتاج تمور السكري، تعكس الجائزة أهمية هذا الصنف كأحد أكثر الأصناف طلباً في الأسواق.

وستخضع المزارع المستوفية للشروط لتقييم ممنهج تحت إشراف خبراء متخصصين للتحقق من الممارسات المتبعة، جودة المنتج، السلامة، والإدارة المسؤولة. وتُدار الجائزة باستقلالية تامة عن الأنشطة الترويجية العامة والسحوبات الميدانية للكرنفال، حيث يتم تحديد الفائز بناءً على معايير الكفاءة والاستحقاق.

ويُتاح التسجيل لملاك مزارع تمور السكري المسجلة رسمياً في منطقة القصيم عبر البوابة الإلكترونية الرسمية للجائزة.

وسيتم الإعلان عن الفائز بالنسخة الافتتاحية لـ«جائزة جميل للتمور» بتاريخ 13 سبتمبر 2026.

Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, the authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles since 1955, and the Community Jameel Foundation, which serves as the social responsibility arm of the Jameel family, have launched the “Jameel Date Award” to establish a new annual platform aimed at honoring local farmers and agricultural practices that contribute to the prosperity of the date sector in the Kingdom. The inaugural edition of the award focuses on registered and eligible owners of “Sukkari” date farms, one of the finest varieties of Saudi dates known for their distinctive sweetness.

The “Jameel Date Award” aims to enhance the social aspect and develop the date sector in the Kingdom by honoring farmers for their commitment to agricultural quality standards, safety, best practices, and responsible land management, while also highlighting the rich heritage of date farming in Al-Qassim and its contribution to enhancing the global status of Saudi dates.

As the main sponsor of the International Buraidah Date Festival, the largest global event in the date sector, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors launched this award in collaboration with the Community Jameel Foundation as a founding partner, with support from the festival as the hosting and technical partner. The award comes to celebrate farmers and innovative agricultural practices that elevate the date industry in the Al-Qassim region, aligning with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop the agricultural sector and enhance the presence of national products in global markets.

The date sector in Al-Qassim is a fundamental pillar of its cultural identity and local economy, as the region is home to more than 11 million date palms that contribute to establishing the Kingdom as one of the leading producers and exporters of dates worldwide.

The first edition focuses on “Sukkari” dates, the variety most associated with Al-Qassim’s agriculture and heritage. With the International Buraidah Date Festival accounting for more than 85% of the total production of Sukkari dates, the award reflects the importance of this variety as one of the most sought-after in the markets.

Eligible farms will undergo a systematic evaluation under the supervision of specialized experts to verify the practices followed, product quality, safety, and responsible management. The award is managed independently from general promotional activities and field draws of the festival, with the winner determined based on efficiency and merit criteria.

Registration is available for owners of officially registered Sukkari date farms in the Al-Qassim region through the official electronic portal of the award.

The winner of the inaugural edition of the “Jameel Date Award” will be announced on September 13, 2026.
