Star Mohamed Henedy is heading towards a new artistic adventure in his career, after deciding to transition from portraying comedic characters in dramatic and cinematic works to standing alone in front of the audience, through “stand-up comedy” performances, in an experience that will kick off in Kuwait at the end of November.
90 Minutes of Comedy with Henedy
The first theatrical meeting is named “Henedy Night,” and it is scheduled to take place on November 26 at Al-Sour Theater in Kuwait, where Henedy will present a live show lasting about an hour and a half, while the organizing body announced the start of accepting ticket reservation requests electronically.
Details from Henedy’s Life on Stage
The concept of the show revolves around presenting the Egyptian artist in unfamiliar aspects of his life, away from the characters the audience is used to seeing him in. He will reminisce about moments from his childhood and amusing situations tied to his memories, as well as discuss his relationship with football and the experiences he has had with it.
The content will extend to his family life, through stories about raising his three children and the challenges he faced on his journey as a father, in addition to showcasing some of his personal habits, including his passion for shopping, as well as new situations related to his artistic career and the behind-the-scenes of his works.
Kuwait: The Beginning of a New Artistic Project
This experience represents the beginning of a new direction for Henedy in the field of live comedy performances, and it is expected that this show will be part of a tour across the Arab world aimed at meeting the audience in a different way, away from the screen.
New Works
In another context, Mohamed Henedy is preparing to embark on a new cinematic experience through the film “Am Qandil,” which recently welcomed actor Alaa Morsi to its team. The film is written by Youssef Maati and directed by Hussein Al-Munbawi, with filming expected to begin in the upcoming period.
In cinema, the film “Al-Jawaherji” was Henedy’s latest participation, which was released during the summer season of 2026, after years of delays related to production difficulties that lasted for more than five years.
Alongside Henedy, the film stars Mona Zaki, Lablaba, Ahmed Salah El-Saadany, Tara Emad, Basem Samra, Arefa Abdel-Rasoul, and Ahmed Halawa, with the work written by Omar Taher and directed by Islam Khairy.
