أعلنت الفنانة عبير أحمد اتخاذ إجراءات قانونية ضد الصحفي الكويتي نايف الشمري بسبب المعلومات التي نشرها حول ملابسات وفاة شقيقتها الفنانة نادية كرم.
لا يستند إلى معلومات
وأكدت عبير أحمد أن العائلة تعتزم اتخاذ إجراءات قانونية بحق الشمري، اعتراضاً على تداول معلومات وصفتها بغير الصحيحة بشأن وفاة أختها، دون الرجوع إلى العائلة أو التحقق من التفاصيل.
وكشفت عبير أحمد، في تصريحات صحفية تفاصيل العثور على أختها متوفاة داخل شقتها، موضحة أن أختها الصغرى مها والمقيمة معها في العقار نفسه، حاولت الاتصال بها، (الثلاثاء) الماضي، لكنها لم تستجب.
سبب الوفاة
وأضافت: توجهت شقيقتي مها إلى شقة نادية بعد تغيبها لساعات طويلة على عكس عادتها اليومية، وفتحت الباب لتجدها ملقاةً على الأرض وبها جرح عميقفي الرأس، مشيرة إلى احتمالية أن تكون نادية قد سقطت على الأرض عقب استيقاظها من النوم وسيرها داخل الشقة.
ولفتت إلى أن الأسرة ستكشف السبب الحقيقي للوفاة بعد انتهاء مراسم العزاء، وذلك بعد موافقة العائلة على إعلان التفاصيل عبر وسائل الإعلام.
رد الشمري
من جانبه، علق الصحفي الكويتي نايف الشمري، على حديث عبير أحمد، مؤكداً أنه يتعامل مع الأمر باعتباره جزءاً من عمله الصحفي، ولا يرى ضرورة للدخول في سجالات إعلامية.
وقال الشمري: «أنا صحفي، ووظيفتي كتابة ونقل الأخبار للمتابعين، واللي بيصدق الأخبار كيفه، واللي بيكذبني أيضاً كيفه»، مشيراً إلى أنه لا يعتبر الرد على تصريحات الآخرين أو الدخول في خلافات عبر وسائل الإعلام من مهامه.
وأضاف: «عمري ما أوصل لمستوى المهاترات والرد بالميديا، أنا أرقى بكثير من هذه الأمور».
وأثار الشمري الجدل بعدما نشر مقطع فيديو عبر حسابه على «إنستغرام»، تحدث فيه عن سبب وفاة نادية كرم، مشيراً إلى أن معلومات وصلته من أشخاص مقربين من الفنانة تفيد بتعرضها لهبوط حاد في الدورة الدموية، أعقبه حدوث جلطة تسببت في وفاتها.
إلا أن عبير أحمد خرجت في مقطع فيديو لنفي هذه الرواية، مؤكدة أن الشمري لم يتواصل مع أي من أفراد العائلة للتأكد من ملابسات الوفاة، وهو ما دفعها إلى الإعلان عن تحركها القانوني ضده، لتتصاعد الأزمة بين الطرفين.
Artist Abir Ahmed announced that she is taking legal action against Kuwaiti journalist Naif Al-Shammari due to the information he published regarding the circumstances of the death of her sister, artist Nadia Karam.
Not Based on Information
Abir Ahmed confirmed that the family intends to take legal action against Al-Shammari, in protest against the circulation of information she described as incorrect regarding her sister’s death, without consulting the family or verifying the details.
Abir Ahmed revealed, in press statements, details about finding her sister deceased inside her apartment, explaining that her younger sister Maha, who lives in the same building, tried to contact her last Tuesday, but she did not respond.
Cause of Death
She added: My sister Maha went to Nadia’s apartment after she had been missing for several hours, which was unusual for her daily routine, and when she opened the door, she found her lying on the floor with a deep wound on her head, indicating that Nadia might have fallen to the ground after waking up and walking inside the apartment.
She pointed out that the family will reveal the true cause of death after the mourning period, following the family’s approval to announce the details through the media.
Al-Shammari’s Response
For his part, Kuwaiti journalist Naif Al-Shammari commented on Abir Ahmed’s statements, confirming that he treats the matter as part of his journalistic work and does not see the need to engage in media disputes.
Al-Shammari said: “I am a journalist, and my job is to write and convey news to the followers; those who believe the news can do so, and those who doubt me can also do so,” pointing out that he does not consider responding to others’ statements or getting into disputes through the media as part of his duties.
He added: “I will never stoop to the level of bickering and responding in the media; I am much above these matters.”
Al-Shammari sparked controversy after he posted a video on his Instagram account, discussing the cause of Nadia Karam’s death, indicating that information he received from people close to the artist suggested she suffered a severe drop in blood circulation, followed by a stroke that led to her death.
However, Abir Ahmed appeared in a video to deny this narrative, confirming that Al-Shammari did not contact any family members to verify the circumstances of the death, which prompted her to announce her legal action against him, escalating the crisis between the two parties.
