أعلن الفنان المصري محمد رمضان إطلاق «تحدي المليون جلابية» غداً (الجمعة)، معتبراً يوم 22 مايو «العيد الرسمي الأول للجلابية الصعيدي»، وذلك في إطار دعمه للزي والتراث الصعيدي بعد الجدل الأخير حول منع دخول بعض الشباب بالجلابية في أحد المواقع الخاصة بفيلمه الجديد «أسد».
مطالبة بالاعتذار
وظهر محمد رمضان في مقطع فيديو عبر حساباته على «إنستغرام» مرتدياً الزي الصعيدي، مؤكداً أنه طالب باعتذار رسمي لأهالي الصعيد بشأن الواقعة، إلا أنه لم يتم تقديمه حتى الآن، بحسب قوله، ما دفعه لإطلاق هذه المبادرة.
دعوة للمشاركة
ودعا رمضان جمهوره إلى المشاركة في التحدي عبر ارتداء الجلابية الصعيدي ونشر صورهم على مواقع التواصل، مشدداً على أن الفعالية ستتحول إلى تقليد سنوي يتم الاحتفال به في نفس التوقيت كل عام، قبل يوم من عيد ميلاده، حسب وصفه.

وتعود تفاصيل الواقعة، عندما روى الشاب محمد المطعني تفاصيل منعه مع شخصين آخرين من دخول عرض فيلم «أسد» داخل سينما بأحد الفنادق، بسبب ارتدائهم الجلابية الصعيدي، موضحاً أنه كان برفقة رجل مسن يبلغ من العمر 75 عاماً كان يرغب في مشاهدة الفيلم.
وأشار إلى أن الموقف كان محرجاً، خصوصاً للرجل المسن، قبل أن يتم لاحقاً توجيه دعوة لهم من صناع العمل لحضور الفيلم، في حين أثارت الواقعة جدلاً واسعاً على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي حول أسباب المنع وسياسات الزي داخل دور العرض.

Ramadan invited his audience to participate in the challenge by wearing the Upper Egyptian gallabeya and sharing their photos on social media, emphasizing that the event will become an annual tradition celebrated at the same time every year, a day before his birthday, as he described.

The details of the incident date back to when a young man named Mohamed Al-Mat’ani recounted how he and two others were prevented from entering the screening of the film “Lion” at a cinema in a hotel due to wearing the Upper Egyptian gallabeya, explaining that he was accompanied by an elderly man aged 75 who wanted to watch the film.
He noted that the situation was embarrassing, especially for the elderly man, before they were later invited by the creators of the film to attend the screening, while the incident sparked widespread controversy on social media regarding the reasons for the ban and dress policies within cinemas.
