مملكة تُعيد تعريف المستقبل
منذ أن أطلقت رؤية 2030، لم تعد المملكة العربية السعودية تكتفي بمواكبة التحول الرقمي العالمي، بل باتت تصنع مساره. مدن ذكية تُرسم ملامحها الآن، وبنية تحتية رقمية تُبنى بجدية غير مسبوقة، واستثمارات ضخمة في الذكاء الاصطناعي والسيادة على البيانات وشبكات الجيل القادم. ونذكر هنا البعض منها فمثلا شركةHumain لديها طموحات تتخطى بعض أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي الرائدة عالميا بالإضافة إلى KACST مدينة الملك عبد العزيز للعلوم والتقنية التي تحتضن وتطور الأبحاث في عدة مجالات منها العلوم التقنية وعلوم الفضاء. جيل كامل من الشباب السعودي يُسلَّم اليوم مفاتيح مشاريع رقمية وطنية لم يسبق للعالم أن رأى مثيلًا لها.
هذا ليس مجرد تطور تقني. إنه إعادة تعريف لما يمكن أن تكون عليه دولة في القرن الحادي والعشرين مواكبةً للمستقبل.
حين يكبر الإنجاز، تكبر معه المسؤولية
لكن كل طموح بهذا الحجم يحمل في طياته سؤالًا لا يمكن تجاهله: من يحمي ما نبنيه؟
فكلما اتسعت قدراتنا الرقمية، اتسعت معها دائرة المخاطر. الأمن السيبراني، لم يعد شأنًا تقنيًا محصورًا بالمتخصصين والمهندسين، بل أصبح ركيزة من ركائز الثقة الوطنية نفسها. العالم الرقمي يحتاج من يفهم هشاشته كما يفهم تطوره. والبيانات السيادية تحتاج من يعي قيمتها كما يعي إمكاناتها.
المسؤولية هنا لا تقع على جهة واحدة. إنها مسؤولية جماعية، تبدأ من صانع القرار وتمتد إلى كل من يحمل جهازاً إلكترونياً مربوطاً بالعالم الرقمي. من ينشر منشورًا، أو يتفاعل مع نظام رقمي في حياته اليومية أو يرفع صور حساسة على منصة معينة أو يضغط رابطا غير متأكد منه فهو قد يساهم بتعريض هذا النظام الوطني الرقمي لمخاطر غير مرئية.
من هنا وُلدت فكرة DATASPHERE سلسلة قصص سينمائية قصيرة تخيلية، تدور أحداثها في عوالم مستقبلية قريبة من واقعنا: مدن ذكية، منظومة لوجستية تُدار بالذكاء الاصطناعي، ومحاكاة لسيناريوهات دفاع رقمي.
هذه ليست خيالًا علميًا بالمعنى التقليدي. إنها خيال إستراتيجي قريب المدى، تصور مبني على واقع تقني سوف نعيشه قريباً، لا على فرضيات مستحيلة أو بعيدة. الهدف ليس التنبؤ بما سيحدث، بل استخدام القصة كمرآة: أن يرى فيها كل من يشاهدها، خصوصا الجيل الذي يتنقل بين الشاشات بلا توقف، انعكاساً لسؤال أعمق: هل ندرك حجم القوة التي بين أيدينا؟
حوار يستحق أن يبدأ
مستقبل المملكة الرقمي لن يُقاس فقط بحجم ما تبنيه من بنية تحتية أو تقنيات، بل بوعي أبنائها بكيفية فهمها، واستخدامها بمسؤولية، وحمايتها حين يتطلب الأمر ذلك.
DATASPHEREلا يقدّم إجابات جاهزة، بل يفتح بابًا للتفكير. فحين تُبنى رؤية بهذا الطموح، يصبح على كل فرد أن يسأل نفسه: إذا وضع المستقبل الرقمي الذي نبنيه اليوم على المحك… فهل سنكون مستعدين؟
A Kingdom Redefining the Future
Since the launch of Vision 2030, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has not only kept pace with global digital transformation but has begun to shape its course. Smart cities are being defined now, and a digital infrastructure is being built with unprecedented seriousness, along with massive investments in artificial intelligence, data sovereignty, and next-generation networks. For instance, the company Humain has ambitions that go beyond some of the world’s leading AI tools, in addition to KACST, the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, which hosts and develops research in several fields, including technical sciences and space sciences. A whole generation of Saudi youth is today being handed the keys to national digital projects the world has never seen before.
This is not just a technological development. It is a redefinition of what a country in the 21st century can be, keeping pace with the future.
As Achievement Grows, So Does Responsibility
However, every ambition of this magnitude carries with it a question that cannot be ignored: Who protects what we build?
As our digital capabilities expand, so does the circle of risks. Cybersecurity is no longer a technical matter confined to specialists and engineers; it has become a pillar of national trust itself. The digital world needs those who understand its fragility as well as its evolution. Sovereign data needs those who recognize its value as well as its potential.
The responsibility here does not fall on a single entity. It is a collective responsibility that starts with decision-makers and extends to everyone who carries an electronic device connected to the digital world. Anyone who posts something, interacts with a digital system in their daily life, uploads sensitive images to a specific platform, or clicks on a link they are unsure about may contribute to exposing this national digital system to unseen risks.
From this, the idea of DATASPHERE was born—a series of imaginative short cinematic stories set in near-future worlds that resemble our reality: smart cities, a logistics system managed by artificial intelligence, and simulations of digital defense scenarios.
This is not science fiction in the traditional sense. It is a near-term strategic imagination, based on a technological reality we will soon experience, not on impossible or distant hypotheses. The goal is not to predict what will happen but to use the story as a mirror: for every viewer, especially the generation that moves between screens incessantly, to see a reflection of a deeper question: Do we realize the magnitude of the power we hold?
A Dialogue Worth Starting
The digital future of the Kingdom will not be measured solely by the size of the infrastructure or technologies it builds, but by its citizens’ awareness of how to understand it, use it responsibly, and protect it when necessary.
DATASPHERE does not provide ready-made answers; rather, it opens the door for thought. When a vision of such ambition is built, it becomes imperative for every individual to ask themselves: If the digital future we are building today is put to the test… will we be ready?
