احتلت السعودية المركز الأول في مقياس حجم ونشاط النظام البيئي (بيئة الشركات الناشئة وريادة الأعمال)، في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، وذلك وفقاً لتقرير «ماغنيت» التي تتبع صفقات الاستثمار الجريء في المنطقة.

وبحسب التقرير، فإن السعودية والإمارات ومصر استحوذت على 91% من إجمالي 14.6 مليار دولار جُمعت عبر الأسواق الرئيسية الاثني عشر بين عامي 2021 و 2025.

ويعكس هذا التصنيف أكثر من مجرد رأس المال المُجمع. إذ يُقيّم كل سوق بناءً على أسسه الاقتصادية الكلية، وحجم النظام البيئي، وعمليات التخارج، ونضجه، وبيئة المستثمرين، ما يوفر رؤية شاملة لما أنجزه كل نظام بيئي فعلياً، بدلاً من التركيز على أماكن التمويل في عام واحد.
يذكر أن جميع الشركات الناشئة العملاقة (يونيكورن) النشطة تتواجد في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في أحد هذه الأسواق الثلاثة.
Saudi Arabia ranked first in the scale of the size and activity of the ecosystem (startup environment and entrepreneurship) in the Middle East and North Africa, according to the “Magnitt” report that tracks venture capital deals in the region.

According to the report, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt accounted for 91% of the total $14.6 billion raised across the twelve main markets between 2021 and 2025.
Comprehensive Vision
This ranking reflects more than just the capital raised. Each market is evaluated based on its macroeconomic fundamentals, the size of the ecosystem, exit processes, maturity, and the investor environment, providing a comprehensive view of what each ecosystem has actually achieved, rather than focusing on funding locations in a single year.
It is worth noting that all active unicorn startups are located in one of these three markets in the Middle East and North Africa.
