وأكد غلوفر، البالغ من العمر 79 عامًا، في تصريحات تلفزيونية، أن تشخيص إصابته جاء بعد فترة من حصوله على جائزة الأوسكار الإنسانية الفخرية، موضحًا أنه بدأ يلاحظ تغيرات تدريجية في قدرته على الحركة والكلام واستعادة الذكريات.
