رد الفنان المصري بيومي فؤاد على عدد من المواقف التي ارتبطت باسمه خلال السنوات الماضية، موضحاً حقيقة روايات أثارت جدلاً واسعاً، كما تطرق إلى رفض حصوله على جنسية أجنبية ومواقفه من بعض القضايا التي شغلت الجمهور.
رواية من أجل الكوميديا
وخلال لقاء تلفزيوني، أكد بيومي أن القصة التي سبق أن رواها بشأن إتلاف لوحة فنية أثناء عمله بوزارة الثقافة لم تكن واقعة حقيقية، موضحاً أنه ذكرها في إطار المزاح وإضفاء أجواء كوميدية فقط، قائلاً: «القصة غير حقيقية وكانت بغرض الضحك».
المال والجنسية
وتحدث الفنان أيضاً عن الأنباء المتداولة بشأن امتلاكه ثروة كبيرة، مؤكداً أن مفهومه للثراء بسيط، إذ يعتبر أن من يمتلك مليون جنيه يعد مليونيراً، مضيفاً مازحاً: «أي حد عنده مليون جنيه يبقى مليونير، فأنا مليونير».
كما كشف أنه رفض استكمال إجراءات الحصول على جنسية أجنبية لجمهورية الدومينيكان، رغم خسارته نحو 25 ألف دولار، بعدما علم أن مشاركته في حملة إعلانية ستمنحه الجنسية، مشدداً على تمسكه بهويته المصرية ورفضه حمل أي جنسية أخرى.

He also revealed that he refused to complete the procedures to obtain foreign nationality from the Dominican Republic, despite losing about $25,000 after learning that his participation in an advertising campaign would grant him citizenship, stressing his commitment to his Egyptian identity and his refusal to hold any other nationality.
