أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم (السبت)، توصل بلاده إلى اتفاق نفطي مع فنزويلا، وصفه بأنه «تاريخي».
وقال ترمب، عبر منصة «تروث سوشيال»، إنه وفقاً لتوجيهاته، وبالتنسيق مع رئيسة فنزويلا المؤقتة ديلسي رودريغيز، ومن خلال شراكة مع القطاع الخاص، تمكن وزير الخارجية ماركو روبيو ووزير الحرب بيت هيغسيث من الاستحواذ على حصة مسيطرة في أكثر من 65 مليار برميل من احتياطيات النفط المؤكدة في فنزويلا، من دون تحميل دافع الضرائب الأمريكي أي أعباء.
وأضاف أن الاتفاق من شأنه مضاعفة احتياطيات النفط الأمريكية وخفض أسعار البنزين بشكل ملحوظ.
يُذكر أن الولايات المتحدة تسعى إلى تأمين تدفق مستقر للنفط الخام الفنزويلي إلى مصافيها منذ الإطاحة بحكم الرئيس السابق نيكولاس مادورو مطلع العام الحالي.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced today (Saturday) that his country has reached an oil agreement with Venezuela, which he described as “historic.”
Trump stated via the “Truth Social” platform that, according to his directives, and in coordination with interim Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez, and through a partnership with the private sector, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth were able to acquire a controlling stake in over 65 billion barrels of confirmed oil reserves in Venezuela, without imposing any burdens on the American taxpayer.
He added that the agreement would double U.S. oil reserves and significantly reduce gasoline prices.
It is worth noting that the United States has been seeking to secure a stable flow of Venezuelan crude oil to its refineries since the overthrow of former President Nicolás Maduro’s regime earlier this year.
