عقد الوزراء المسؤولون عن السياحة بدول مجلس التعاون اجتماعهم العاشر في المنامة، مؤكدين مرونة القطاع السياحي الخليجي وقدرته على التعافي والتكيّف مع التطورات الإقليمية، واستمرار جاذبية دول المجلس للزوار بدعم المشاريع الكبرى والفعاليات الدولية وتطور البنية التحتية.
وبحث الاجتماع تنفيذ المبادرات والمشاريع المشتركة، وتعزيز التكامل السياحي، وتطوير الجهود الترويجية، ودعم السياحة البينية، ورفع تنافسية القطاع بما يسهم في تنويع الاقتصادات الوطنية، مشددين على أهمية الأمن والاستقرار والأطر التنظيمية المتقدمة في تعزيز ثقة المستثمرين والزوار.
وأكد الوزراء أن المنظومة السياحية الخليجية تعتمد على بنية متكاملة من المطارات وشركات الطيران والمرافق السياحية، إضافة إلى استضافة كبرى الفعاليات العالمية، مشيدين بجهود الجهات السياحية في دول المجلس والأمانة العامة في تعزيز التنسيق وتبادل الخبرات.
واعتمد الوزراء خطة تعافي القطاع السياحي، وأكدوا أهمية استمرار العمل المشترك في الترويج السياحي وتطوير البرامج والمنتجات، ودعم الابتكار والتحول الرقمي وتنمية القدرات البشرية.
ورحّب الوزراء بتقدم السعودية بطلب إعادة ترشحها لعضوية المجلس التنفيذي لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للسياحة للفترة 2027–2031، مؤكدين دعم دول المجلس الكامل لهذا الترشح تقديرًا لدورها المحوري في تطوير القطاع السياحي وتعزيز التعاون الدولي.
وفي ختام الاجتماع، جدد الوزراء تأكيدهم مواصلة تعزيز التكامل السياحي الخليجي وبناء قطاع أكثر تنافسية واستدامة، قادر على مواجهة المتغيرات الإقليمية والدولية، وترسيخ مكانة المنطقة وجهةً سياحيةً عالميةً رائدة.
The ministers responsible for tourism in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries held their tenth meeting in Manama, confirming the resilience of the Gulf tourism sector and its ability to recover and adapt to regional developments, as well as the continued attractiveness of the Council’s countries to visitors, supported by major projects, international events, and infrastructure development.
The meeting discussed the implementation of joint initiatives and projects, enhancing tourism integration, developing promotional efforts, supporting intra-tourism, and increasing the competitiveness of the sector in a way that contributes to diversifying national economies, emphasizing the importance of security, stability, and advanced regulatory frameworks in enhancing the confidence of investors and visitors.
The ministers affirmed that the Gulf tourism system relies on an integrated infrastructure of airports, airlines, and tourism facilities, in addition to hosting major global events, praising the efforts of tourism authorities in the Council’s countries and the General Secretariat in enhancing coordination and exchanging experiences.
The ministers adopted a recovery plan for the tourism sector and emphasized the importance of continuing joint work in tourism promotion, developing programs and products, supporting innovation and digital transformation, and enhancing human capacity development.
The ministers welcomed Saudi Arabia’s request to re-nominate itself for membership in the Executive Council of the United Nations World Tourism Organization for the period 2027–2031, affirming the full support of the Council’s countries for this nomination in appreciation of its pivotal role in developing the tourism sector and enhancing international cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the ministers reiterated their commitment to continue enhancing Gulf tourism integration and building a more competitive and sustainable sector, capable of facing regional and international changes, and establishing the region’s position as a leading global tourist destination.
