توفي الفنان والمخرج السوري أسامة السيد يوسف، صباح اليوم (الثلاثاء)، بعد مسيرة فنية حافلة تنوعت بين خشبة المسرح والأعمال الدرامية.
نعي النقابة
ونعت نقابة الفنانين السوريين، فرع دمشق، الفنان الراحل أسامة السيد يوسف، عبر منشور على صفحتها الرسمية بـ«فيسبوك»، وجاء مضمونه: «فرع دمشق لنقابة الفنانين ينعى إليكم وفاة الزميل الفنان القدير أسامة السيد يوسف، وسنوافيكم لاحقًا بموعد التشييع والدفن وموعد التعزية.. وإنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون».
حزن الوسط الفني
وشهدت منصات التواصل الاجتماعي حالة من الحزن بعد انتشار خبر وفاة أسامة السيد يوسف، إذ حرص عدد كبير من محبيه وزملائه في الوسط الفني على نعيه بكلمات مؤثرة، مستعيدين مسيرته الفنية إلى جانب الإشادة بأخلاقه الطيبة، ووصف كثيرون رحيله بأنه صدمة مؤلمة وخسارة للساحة الفنية، معبرين عن حزنهم العميق وداعين له بالرحمة والمغفرة.
مشوار فني مميز
يعد الفنان والمخرج السوري الراحل أسامة السيد يوسف واحدًا من أبرز القامات المسرحية والدرامية في سورية، وقاده شغفه بالفن للالتحاق بالمعهد العالي للفنون المسرحية في دمشق، ليتخرج منه في 1982 مسجلًا بداية مسيرة مهنية امتدت لعقود، إلى جانب تميزه في الأداء التمثيلي.
وتولى الراحل العديد من المناصب الإدارية الرفيعة في المشهد الثقافي السوري، وأدار «مسرح حلب القومي» لفترة طويلة امتدت من 2003 حتى 2016. كما تم اختياره لرئاسة وإدارة العديد من المهرجانات الفنية الدولية والوطنية البارزة، وقدم الراحل أعمالاً درامية متنوعة سواء كانت سورية أو عربية، تركت بصمة لدى الجمهور، ومن أبرزها مسلسلات «حضارة العرب» في 2010، و«طالع الفضة» عام 2011، و«رفة عين» في 2012، وصولًا إلى المسلسل الدرامي الشهير «الندم» عام 2016. وضع الفنان الراحل بصمته في أعمال شهيرة أرّخت للمجتمع السوري مثل مسلسل «خان الحرير» ومسلسل «سيرة آل الجلالي». كما شارك في أعمال البيئة الشامية والتاريخية منها «صلاح الدين الأيوبي»، «أهل الراية» (الجزء الثاني)، «طالع الفضة»، و«بروكار». وشارك في عدد من الأعمال الكوميدية والمنوعة، ومنها: «مرت عمو ما حدا غريب» و«طرة ولا نقش». وواصل عطاءه الفني حتى سنواته الأخيرة عبر المشاركة في مسلسلات مثل «تاج» (2024)، إضافة إلى أعمال عُرضت ضمن دراما 2025 و2026 مثل «مطبخ المدينة» و«نسمات أيلول» و«الخروج إلى البئر» الذي يتناول معاناة نزلاء سجن صيدنايا السوري السيئ السمعة.
The Syrian artist and director Osama Al-Sayed Youssef passed away this morning (Tuesday) after a rich artistic career that spanned the theater and dramatic works.
Union Condolences
The Syrian Artists’ Union, Damascus branch, mourned the late artist Osama Al-Sayed Youssef through a post on its official Facebook page, which stated: “The Damascus branch of the Artists’ Union mourns the passing of our esteemed colleague, the artist Osama Al-Sayed Youssef. We will provide you later with the date of the funeral and condolences… Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we shall return.”
Grief in the Artistic Community
Social media platforms witnessed a wave of sadness following the news of Osama Al-Sayed Youssef’s death, as many of his fans and colleagues in the artistic community were keen to mourn him with touching words, recalling his artistic journey while praising his good character. Many described his departure as a painful shock and a loss to the artistic scene, expressing their deep sorrow and praying for him to rest in peace.
A Distinguished Artistic Journey
The late Syrian artist and director Osama Al-Sayed Youssef is considered one of the most prominent theatrical and dramatic figures in Syria. His passion for art led him to enroll in the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus, from which he graduated in 1982, marking the beginning of a professional journey that spanned decades, alongside his excellence in acting performance.
He held many high administrative positions in the Syrian cultural scene and managed the “National Theater of Aleppo” for a long period from 2003 to 2016. He was also chosen to chair and manage many prominent international and national artistic festivals. The late artist presented various dramatic works, whether Syrian or Arab, that left a mark on the audience, including the series “The Civilization of Arabs” in 2010, “Tali’ Al-Fidda” in 2011, “Raf’at ‘Ayn” in 2012, and the famous dramatic series “Al-Nadam” in 2016. The late artist left his mark in well-known works that chronicled Syrian society, such as the series “Khan Al-Harir” and “The Biography of Al-Jalali Family.” He also participated in works set in the Levantine environment and historical dramas, including “Saladin Al-Ayyubi,” “Ahl Al-Rayah” (Part Two), “Tali’ Al-Fidda,” and “Brokhar.” He took part in several comedic and variety shows, including: “Mart ‘Amo Ma Hada Gharib” and “Tura Wala Naqsh.” He continued his artistic contributions into his later years by participating in series like “Taj” (2024), in addition to works that aired in the 2025 and 2026 dramas such as “Maktab Al-Madina,” “Nesmat Ayloul,” and “Al-Khurooj Ila Al-Bir,” which addresses the suffering of inmates in the notorious Syrian Sednaya prison.
