أعرب رئيس هيئة قناة السويس الفريق أسامة ربيع عن تطلع قناة السويس لتطوير شراكة أوسع وأكثر شمولاً مع الهيئة العامة للموانئ السعودية، بما يتماشى مع التطور السريع في مفهوم الخدمات البحرية واللوجستية، وزيادة الطلب على الموانئ السعودية كمحاور رئيسية في سلاسل الإمداد العالمية.
جاء ذلك خلال لقاء رئيس هيئة قناة السويس مع رئيس الهيئة العامة للموانئ بالسعودية سليمان بن خالد المزروع، يرافقه وفد رفيع المستوى، لبحث آفاق التعاون المستقبلي بين الجانبين، على هامش فعاليات المؤتمر السنوي الدولي للنقل البحري واللوجستيات (مارلوج).
وتناول اللقاء مناقشة آليات التعاون في عدة مجالات إستراتيجية، أبرزها: تقديم الخدمات اللوجستية المتكاملة، بناء الوحدات البحرية والمعديات، أعمال التكريك وصيانة الأرصفة، وغيرها من المجالات المرتبطة بتطوير البنية التحتية البحرية.
واستعرض رئيس هيئة قناة السويس تجربة التعاون الناجحة السابقة مع الجانب السعودي، التي تمثلت في قيام أكاديمية المحاكاة والتدريب البحري التابعة للهيئة بنمذجة ميناء رأس الخير تمهيدًا لمشروع ازدواج قناة الاقتراب، وهو المشروع الذي حظي بإشادة واسعة من المسؤولين السعوديين.
كما أبرز جهود توطين الصناعة البحرية داخل الترسانات والشركات التابعة للهيئة، التي شهدت طفرة ملحوظة خلال العامين الأخيرين، مؤكدًا أن المنتجات المصرية تحمل جودة عالمية بأسعار تنافسية، ووجه دعوة رسمية للوفد السعودي لزيارة جناح هيئة قناة السويس في معرض IME 2026 المتخصص في الخدمات والمعدات البحرية.
عمق العلاقات الأخوية
من جانبه، أعرب رئيس الهيئة العامة للموانئ بالمملكة عن تقديره الكبير للدور المحوري الذي تلعبه قناة السويس في تعزيز استقرار واستدامة حركة الملاحة العالمية عبر البحر الأحمر ومضيق باب المندب.
وأكد المزروع جاهزية الموانئ السعودية وقناة السويس لاستقبال عودة الخطوط الملاحية العالمية الكبرى بعد تحسن الأوضاع الأمنية في المنطقة، مشيرًا إلى رغبة بلاده في التعاون الجاد مع هيئة قناة السويس في مجال بناء المعديات، إلى جانب الاستفادة من خبرات الشركات المصرية في أعمال التكريك وتطوير الأرصفة، خصوصًا مع المشاريع الكبرى الجارية في ميناء جدة الإسلامي وعدد من الموانئ الأخرى.
واختتم اللقاء بتأكيد الجانبين على عمق العلاقات الأخوية بين مصر والسعودية، وعلى أن الفترة القادمة ستشهد خطوات عملية ملموسة لترجمة هذه المباحثات إلى شراكات تنفيذية تخدم مصالح البلدين والتجارة الدولية.
The Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, expressed the Suez Canal’s aspiration to develop a broader and more comprehensive partnership with the Saudi Ports Authority, in line with the rapid evolution of maritime and logistical services, and the increasing demand for Saudi ports as key hubs in global supply chains.
This came during a meeting between the Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and the President of the Saudi Ports Authority, Suleiman bin Khalid Al-Mazrou, accompanied by a high-level delegation, to discuss future cooperation prospects between the two sides, on the sidelines of the annual international conference on maritime transport and logistics (Marlog).
The meeting addressed mechanisms for cooperation in several strategic areas, most notably: providing integrated logistical services, building marine units and ferries, dredging works and dock maintenance, among other areas related to the development of maritime infrastructure.
The Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority reviewed the previous successful cooperation experience with the Saudi side, which involved the simulation and maritime training academy of the authority modeling the Port of Ras Al-Khair in preparation for the dualization project of the approach canal, a project that received wide acclaim from Saudi officials.
He also highlighted efforts to localize the maritime industry within the shipyards and companies affiliated with the authority, which have witnessed a remarkable boom over the past two years, emphasizing that Egyptian products carry global quality at competitive prices, and he extended an official invitation to the Saudi delegation to visit the Suez Canal Authority’s pavilion at the IME 2026 exhibition specialized in maritime services and equipment.
The Depth of Fraternal Relations
For his part, the President of the Saudi Ports Authority expressed his great appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Suez Canal in enhancing the stability and sustainability of global navigation through the Red Sea and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.
Al-Mazrou confirmed the readiness of Saudi ports and the Suez Canal to welcome the return of major global shipping lines following the improvement of security conditions in the region, noting his country’s desire for serious cooperation with the Suez Canal Authority in the field of building ferries, in addition to benefiting from the expertise of Egyptian companies in dredging works and dock development, especially with the major projects underway at the Islamic Port of Jeddah and several other ports.
The meeting concluded with both sides affirming the depth of fraternal relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and that the coming period will witness tangible practical steps to translate these discussions into executive partnerships that serve the interests of both countries and international trade.
