أعلنت مدينة المعرفة الاقتصادية، المطوّر الرائد والمدرج في السوق المالية السعودية (تداول)، بإشراف هيئة المدن والمناطق الاقتصادية الخاصة والمساهمة في التحوّل العمراني والاقتصادي في المدينة المنورة، عن فوزها بتكريمٍ مزدوج ضمن جوائز Global Economics Awards 2025، حيث حصلت على جائزتي «التصميم الأيقوني الأكثر ابتكارًا لمشىوع بوابة المدينة»، و«أفضل مطوّر عقاري في تطوير الوجهات الحضرية المتكاملة بالمملكة العربية السعودية».
وجرى تسليم الجوائز خلال حفل Global Economics Awards، وهي منصة دولية تُعنى بتكريم التميّز في مجالات التنمية الاقتصادية والبنية التحتية والتطوير العقاري، حيث شاركت مدينة المعرفة الاقتصادية أيضًا بصفتها راعيًا رسميًا للحفل، مستعرضةً أحدث مستجداتها ومشاريعها.
ويعكس هذا التكريم مكانة مدينة المعرفة الاقتصادية كأحد أبرز المطورين في مجال تطوير الوجهات الحضرية المستدامة، من خلال تبني نهج مرتكز على أنسنة المدن، ويجمع بين التميّز المعماري، والبنية التحتية المتقدمة، والحركة المستدامة، والضيافة، وتفعيل المشهد الحضري، بما يحقق أثرًا اجتماعيًا واقتصاديًا طويل المدى في المدينة المنورة.
وبهذه المناسبة، قال حازم البنا، الرئيس التنفيذي المكلف لمدينة المعرفة الاقتصادية:«يؤكد هذا التكريم المزدوج طموحنا في ترسيخ مكانة المدينة المنورة كنموذج عالمي للتنمية الحضرية المتكاملة من خلال تطوير وجهات نابضة بالحياة تضع الإنسان في محور التجربة، وتدمج بين الابتكار والثقافة والروحانية في بيئات متكاملة، ويُعد مشروع بوابة المدينة نموذجًا حيًا لرؤيتنا في تقديم مشاريع مبتكرة ترتقي بجودة الحياة، وتولّد قيمة اقتصادية مستدامة بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030».
وتُعد بوابة المدينة أحد المشاريع المحورية ضمن المخطط الرئيسي لمدينة المعرفة الاقتصادية، وهو أول وجهة تجزئة تقع مباشرة علي محطة قطار الحرمين السريع. ويعتبر المشروع أول تطوير موجه نحو النقل (Transit-Oriented Development – TOD) من نوعه في المملكة، باستثمارات تصل إلى 620 مليون ريال سعودي.
ويتميّز المشروع بموقع إستراتيجي يربط السكان والزوار بأبرز المعالم الرئيسية في المدينة المنورة، ويوحّد بين الحركة والضيافة والتجزئة ضمن وجهة حضرية واحدة، ما يجعله خيارًا جاذبًا للمستثمرين والمسافرين. وتمتد المرحلة الأولى من المشروع على مساحة تتجاوز اكثر من 23,000 متر مربع من المساحات التأجيرية، إضافة إلى فندق دبل تري من هيلتون بوابة المدينة والذي يضم 325 غرفة فندقية.
من جانب آخر، تعكس جائزة «أفضل مطوّر عقاري في تطوير الوجهات الحضرية المتكاملة» القدرات الشمولية لمدينة المعرفة الاقتصادية في مجالات الحوكمة، وبناء الشراكات الإستراتيجية، والالتزام بمعايير الاستدامة والحوكمة البيئية والاجتماعية والمؤسسية (ESG)، وإدارة الأصول على المدى الطويل، بما يعزز مكانة المدينة المنورة كمدينة مستقبلية مستدامة ومتطورة.
ويأتي هذا التكريم تأكيدًا على دور مدينة المعرفة الاقتصادية في دعم مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، والمساهمة في ترسيخ مكانة المدينة المنورة كوجهة عالمية تجمع بين العمق الحضاري والتاريخي، والنمو الاقتصادي، والتطوير العمراني المبتكر.
يذكر أن مدينة المعرفة الاقتصادية هي شركة مساهمة عامة مدرجة في السوق المالية السعودية (تداول)، وتعمل تحت إشراف هيئة المدن الاقتصادية والمناطق الخاصة. وتمتد مخططاتها الرئيسية على مساحة 6.8 مليون متر مربع ضمن النطاق العمراني للمدينة المنورة، حيث تطوّر وجهات عصرية متكاملة تجمع بين السكن، والتجارة، والثقافة، والترفيه، بما يسهم في تحويل المدينة المنورة إلى مركز عالمي للحياة العصرية المتكاملة.
وتتمتع المدينة بموقع إستراتيجي بالقرب من المسجد النبوي الشريف، ومحطة قطار الحرمين السريع، ومطار الأمير محمد بن عبدالعزيز الدولي، وتلعب دورًا محوريًا في دعم مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 من خلال الإسهام في برامجها الرئيسية مثل برنامج تجربة ضيف الرحمن، وبرنامج جودة الحياة، وبرنامج الإسكان، وبرنامج تنمية القدرات البشرية.
The Knowledge Economic City, a leading developer listed on the Saudi financial market (Tadawul), under the supervision of the Authority for Economic Cities and Special Zones and contributing to the urban and economic transformation in Medina, announced that it has won a double honor at the Global Economics Awards 2025, receiving the awards for “Most Innovative Iconic Design for the Medina Gateway Project” and “Best Real Estate Developer in Developing Integrated Urban Destinations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
The awards were presented during the Global Economics Awards ceremony, an international platform dedicated to honoring excellence in economic development, infrastructure, and real estate development. The Knowledge Economic City also participated as an official sponsor of the event, showcasing its latest updates and projects.
This recognition reflects the status of the Knowledge Economic City as one of the most prominent developers in the field of sustainable urban destination development, through adopting a human-centered approach that combines architectural excellence, advanced infrastructure, sustainable mobility, hospitality, and activating the urban landscape, achieving a long-term social and economic impact in Medina.

The Medina Gateway is one of the pivotal projects within the master plan of the Knowledge Economic City and is the first retail destination located directly at the Haramain High-Speed Train Station. The project is the first Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) of its kind in the Kingdom, with investments reaching 620 million Saudi Riyals.
The project features a strategic location that connects residents and visitors to the main landmarks in Medina, unifying mobility, hospitality, and retail within a single urban destination, making it an attractive option for investors and travelers. The first phase of the project spans over 23,000 square meters of leasable space, in addition to the DoubleTree by Hilton Medina Gateway hotel, which includes 325 hotel rooms.
On another note, the award for “Best Real Estate Developer in Developing Integrated Urban Destinations” reflects the comprehensive capabilities of the Knowledge Economic City in governance, building strategic partnerships, and commitment to sustainability and environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) standards, and long-term asset management, enhancing the status of Medina as a sustainable and advanced future city.
This recognition comes as a confirmation of the role of the Knowledge Economic City in supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and contributing to establishing Medina as a global destination that combines deep cultural and historical significance, economic growth, and innovative urban development.
It is worth noting that the Knowledge Economic City is a publicly traded joint-stock company listed on the Saudi financial market (Tadawul), operating under the supervision of the Authority for Economic Cities and Special Zones. Its main plans extend over an area of 6.8 million square meters within the urban scope of Medina, where it develops modern integrated destinations that combine housing, commerce, culture, and entertainment, contributing to transforming Medina into a global center for integrated modern living.
