بعد أكثر من نصف قرن بين أبناء قريته معلما لأجيال وإماما لمسجد بني حدة ومعرفا لها.. احتفى أهالي بني حدة إحدى قرى بني ظبيان ببلاد غامد بالشيخ تركي بن أحمد شويل الغامدي في ليلة وفاء تزاحمت فيها مشاعر التقدير والاعتزاز بمسيرة رجل ارتبط اسمه بالقرية وأهلها وترك حضورا راسخا في ذاكرتهم.
وجاء الحفل تقديرا لمسيرة امتدت لعقود وتنوعت أدوارها بين التعليم والإمامة والعمل الاجتماعي، إذ عاصر الشيخ تركي أجيالا متعاقبة من أبناء القرية وشارك أهلها مناسباتهم وأفراحهم وأتراحهم، وظل قريبا من شؤونهم حتى أصبح تكريمه مناسبة يلتقي فيها أبناء المكان لاستعادة جانب من تاريخهم الاجتماعي.
وشهد الحفل حضور الدكتور عبدالعزيز بن صقر، والشيخ عثمان بن صقر شيخ قبيلة بني ظبيان، والشيخ أحمد علي الكلي شيخ قبيلة الرهوة ببلجرشي، إلى جانب عدد من رجال الأعمال والأعيان والوجهاء وجمع من أهالي بني حدة وضيوف المناسبة.
ورحب أهالي القرية بالمحتفى به والحضور، معبرين عن سعادتهم بهذه المناسبة التي جاءت تقديرا لما قدمه الشيخ تركي خلال سنوات طويلة من خدمة أبناء القرية، مؤكدين أن تكريمه يعكس ما يحمله المجتمع من تقدير لأصحاب العطاء الذين يتركون أثرا يتجاوز سنوات العمل.
وتخللت الحفل كلمات ترحيبية عبر خلالها المشاركون عن مشاعرهم تجاه المحتفى به واستعادوا بعض محطات مسيرته وما قدمه لأبناء القرية في مجالات التعليم والإمامة وخدمة المجتمع وسط أجواء احتفائية اتسمت بالكرم وحسن الوفادة.
وكان لافتا اجتماع أجيال مختلفة من أبناء بني حدة في هذه المناسبة، فمنهم من عرف الشيخ تركي معلما، ومنهم من عاصره إماما أو عرفه في دوره الاجتماعي، وهو ما منح الحفل بعدا يتجاوز مراسم التكريم إلى لقاء يجمع ذاكرة المكان بأبنائه.
وحملت المناسبة رسالة واضحة بأن قيمة الإنسان لا تتوقف عند المناصب أو سنوات الخدمة وإنما فيما يتركه من أثر في حياة الآخرين وهو ما بدا في مشاعر الحضور ومشاركاتهم المنبرية والشعرية وحرصهم على المشاركة في تكريم رجل أمضى جانبا كبيرا من عمره بين أهل قريته.
وفي ختام الحفل قدم أهالي بني حدة شكرهم وتقديرهم لجميع الحضور والضيوف ولكل من أسهم في تنظيم المناسبة وإنجاحها، مؤكدين أن تكريم الشيخ تركي بن أحمد شويل يمثل صورة من صور الوفاء لأهل العطاء وتقديرا لمسيرة امتدت لأكثر من نصف قرن.
After more than half a century among the people of his village as a teacher for generations, an imam for the mosque of Bani Hada, and a familiar figure to them… the people of Bani Hada, one of the villages of Bani Dhubyan in the land of Ghamid, celebrated Sheikh Turki bin Ahmed Shuwail Al-Ghamdi on a night of appreciation filled with feelings of respect and pride for the journey of a man whose name is linked to the village and its people, leaving a lasting presence in their memories.
The celebration was held in recognition of a journey that spanned decades, with roles that varied between teaching, leading prayers, and social work. Sheikh Turki witnessed successive generations of the village’s children and participated in their occasions, joys, and sorrows, remaining close to their affairs until his honoring became an occasion for the people to gather and recall a part of their social history.
The event was attended by Dr. Abdulaziz bin Saqr, Sheikh Othman bin Saqr, the chief of the Bani Dhubyan tribe, Sheikh Ahmed Ali Al-Kuli, the chief of the Al-Rahwa tribe in Baljurashi, along with a number of businessmen, dignitaries, and a gathering of the people of Bani Hada and guests of the occasion.
The villagers welcomed the honoree and the attendees, expressing their happiness at this occasion, which came in appreciation of what Sheikh Turki has offered over many years of service to the village’s children, affirming that his honoring reflects the community’s appreciation for those who give and leave an impact that transcends years of work.
The ceremony included welcoming speeches in which participants expressed their feelings towards the honoree and recalled some milestones of his journey and what he provided to the village’s children in the fields of education, leading prayers, and community service, all within a celebratory atmosphere characterized by generosity and warm hospitality.
It was notable to see different generations of Bani Hada’s children gathered for this occasion; some knew Sheikh Turki as a teacher, while others experienced him as an imam or recognized him in his social role, which gave the event a dimension that transcended the formalities of honoring to a gathering that connects the memory of the place with its children.
The occasion carried a clear message that a person’s value does not stop at positions or years of service but rather in the impact they leave on the lives of others, which was evident in the attendees’ feelings and their contributions through speeches and poetry, as well as their eagerness to participate in honoring a man who spent a significant part of his life among the people of his village.
