بعد مسيرة امتدت 55 عاماً في خدمة بيوت الله، تقدم إمام جامع قرية قرن الماء التابعة لمحافظة محايل عسير الشريف عبدالرحمن بن أحمد الراجحي بطلب التنازل عن الإمامة، وصدر قرار بالموافقة على ذلك من الجهات المختصة.
وبدأ الراجحي إمامته في جامع القرية عندما كان المسجد مبنياً بالحجر والطين، وكانت صلاة الجمعة تُقام بحضور لا يتجاوز أربعة صفوف، في زمن لم تكن فيه الكهرباء قد وصلت إلى القرية.
ومع مرور السنوات، سعى إلى إيجاد موقع مناسب لبناء جامع جديد، إذ تبرع عدد من الأهالي بالأرض، فيما تكفل أحد فاعلي الخير بتشييده على بُعد أمتار من المسجد القديم. ومع وصول الكهرباء وتطور الخدمات، ازداد عدد المصلين، وشهد المسجد تطوراً في تجهيزاته، إذ أُضيفت أنظمة الصوت الحديثة التي أسهمت في نقل الأذان وخطب الجمعة، واستمر الراجحي في أداء رسالته والمحافظة على إقامة الصلوات وخدمة المصلين.
واختتم الراجحي مسيرته بتقديم تنازله عن الإمامة، معرباً عن شكره وتقديره لفرع وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد بمنطقة عسير على ما يقدمه من جهود في العناية بالمساجد ودعم رسالتها.
After a journey spanning 55 years in the service of the houses of God, the Imam of the Grand Mosque of the village of Qarn Al-Ma’a, which is part of the Mahayel Asir province, Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Ahmed Al-Rajhi submitted a request to resign from his position as Imam, and a decision was issued approving this request from the relevant authorities.
Al-Rajhi began his Imamate in the village mosque when it was built of stone and clay, and Friday prayers were held with an attendance of no more than four rows, at a time when electricity had not yet reached the village.
As the years passed, he sought to find a suitable location to build a new mosque, with several locals donating the land, while a benefactor took on the responsibility of constructing it just a few meters away from the old mosque. With the arrival of electricity and the development of services, the number of worshippers increased, and the mosque witnessed advancements in its facilities, as modern sound systems were added that contributed to the transmission of the call to prayer and Friday sermons. Al-Rajhi continued to fulfill his mission, maintaining the performance of prayers and serving the worshippers.
Al-Rajhi concluded his journey by submitting his resignation from the Imamate, expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah, and Guidance in the Asir region for their efforts in caring for mosques and supporting their mission.
