وضعت القنصلية العامة لجمهورية السودان بجدة حجر الأساس لمشروع تهيئة وتطوير مقرها الجديد بحي النعيم، بحضور وزير الخارجية والتعاون الدولي السفير محي الدين سالم أحمد، ووزير الدولة بوزارة المالية والتخطيط الاقتصادي المستشار محمد نور عبدالدائم، ومدير عام فرع وزارة الخارجية بمنطقة مكة المكرمة فريد بن سعد الشهري، وعدد من القناصل العامين وقيادات الجالية السودانية والإعلاميين.
وأكد القنصل العام لجمهورية السودان بجدة السفير كمال علي عثمان أن المشروع يأتي في إطار تطوير العمل القنصلي والارتقاء بالخدمات المقدمة للجالية السودانية، مشيراً إلى أن المقر الجديد سيجمع بين الطابع المعماري الحديث والهوية والثقافة السودانية.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Sudan in Jeddah has laid the foundation stone for the project to prepare and develop its new headquarters in the Al-Naeem neighborhood, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohiuddin Salem Ahmed, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Advisor Mohamed Nour Abdeldaim, the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in the Makkah region, Farid bin Saad Al-Shahri, along with several other consuls general, leaders of the Sudanese community, and media representatives.
The Consul General of the Republic of Sudan in Jeddah, Ambassador Kamal Ali Othman, confirmed that the project comes as part of the development of consular work and the enhancement of services provided to the Sudanese community, noting that the new headquarters will combine modern architectural style with Sudanese identity and culture.
