أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أنه يؤيد فرض حظر على صادرات الديزل الأمريكية، فيما تبحث إدارته إمكانية تطبيق حظر كامل أو جزئي.
من جهته، أكد وزير الخزانة سكوت بيسنت أن الإدارة الأمريكية تدرس مدى إمكانية تنفيذ القرار في ضوء طاقة التكرير المحلية، بينما يدعم عدد من الجمهوريين في الكونغرس وقف صادرات الديزل، وفقاً لموقع أكسيوس الأمريكي، ونشره موقع «العربية. نت».
ارتفاع أسعار الوقود
ويقول محللون إن حظر الصادرات قد يؤدي إلى زيادة المعروض وخفض الأسعار في الولايات المتحدة على المدى القصير، لكنه قد يرفع أسعار الديزل عالمياً ويؤدي لاحقاً إلى تداعيات على السوق الأمريكية.
وارتفعت أسعار الوقود في الولايات المتحدة بشكل حاد نتيجة الحرب في إيران، ما يضع الرئيس دونالد ترمب تحت ضغوط متزايدة قبيل انتخابات الكونغرس المقررة في نوفمبر القادم.
حرب إيران
ويدفع الأمريكيون في المتوسط نحو 50% أكثر مقابل البنزين مقارنة بما كان عليه الوضع قبل اندلاع الحرب، بينما وصلت أسعار الديزل إلى مستوى قياسي.
وفي ظل هذه الأوضاع، دعا عدد من الجمهوريين إلى وقف صادرات الديزل، وحمّلوا، على نحو غير معتاد من حيث صراحة الطرح، الحرب في إيران مسؤولية ارتفاع الأسعار.

For his part, Treasury Secretary Scott Pruitt confirmed that the U.S. administration is examining the feasibility of implementing the decision in light of domestic refining capacity, while several Republicans in Congress support halting diesel exports, according to the American Axios website, as reported by “Al Arabiya.net”.
Rising Fuel Prices
Analysts say that a ban on exports could lead to an increase in supply and a decrease in prices in the United States in the short term, but it could raise diesel prices globally and later have repercussions on the American market.
Fuel prices in the United States have sharply risen due to the war in Iran, putting President Donald Trump under increasing pressure ahead of the upcoming congressional elections scheduled for next November.
Iran War
Americans are paying on average about 50% more for gasoline compared to the situation before the outbreak of the war, while diesel prices have reached a record level.
In light of these circumstances, several Republicans have called for halting diesel exports, unusually blaming the war in Iran for the rising prices with a level of frankness in their statements.
