ذكرت وكالة بلومبيرغ نقلاً عن مصادر لها، أن صندوق الاستثمارات العامة يدرس دمج أصول النقل وسلاسل الإمداد التابعة له، لإنشاء كيان لوجستي عملاق يكون قادراً على جذب الاستثمارات الأجنبية، وخدمة مراكز التجارة السعودية بشكل أفضل.
وأضافت أن الصندوق أجرى محادثات أولية لدمج أجزاء من محفظته التي تشمل الموانئ والسكك الحديدية وأصول الشحن في كيان واحد، وأشار أحد المصادر إلى أن الشركة الجديدة قد تتطور لاحقاً لتصبح منصة لاستثمارات بمليارات الدولارات في قطاع الخدمات اللوجستية، كما قد يسعى الصندوق مستقبلاً إلى إدخال مستثمرين دوليين في الشركة، بما في ذلك من خلال طرح عام أولي.
وقالت: «إن المناقشات ما تزال في مرحلة مبكرة، ولم يتم اتخاذ قرارات نهائية بشأن إنشاء الكيان الجديد أو حتى تحديد الأصول التي سيتم دمجها فيها».
يذكر أن إستراتيجية صندوق الاستثمارات العامة 2026- 2030 تضمنت 5 منظومات اقتصادية، منها الصناعة والخدمات اللوجستية والتي ضمت 16 شركة.
Bloomberg reported, citing its sources, that the Public Investment Fund is considering merging its transportation and supply chain assets to create a giant logistics entity capable of attracting foreign investments and better serving Saudi trade centers.
It added that the fund has held preliminary discussions to merge parts of its portfolio, which includes ports, railways, and shipping assets, into a single entity. One source indicated that the new company could later evolve into a platform for billions of dollars in investments in the logistics sector, and the fund may seek to bring in international investors into the company in the future, potentially through an initial public offering.
It stated: “Discussions are still in the early stages, and no final decisions have been made regarding the establishment of the new entity or even the assets that will be merged into it.”
It is noteworthy that the Public Investment Fund’s strategy for 2026-2030 includes 5 economic systems, including industry and logistics services, which encompass 16 companies.
