وسعت أسعار النفط مكاسبها إلى نحو 6% خلال جلسة اليوم، بعدما أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الإماراتية أنها رصدت 4 صواريخ كروز قادمة من إيران باتجاه الدولة، فيما قال الجيش الأمريكي إن مدمرتين تابعتين للبحرية الأمريكية مزودتين بصواريخ موجهة دخلتا الخليج لكسر الحصار الإيراني، وإن سفينتين أمريكيتين عبرتا مضيق هرمز.
وصعدت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت 6.03 دولار أو 5.6% إلى 114.20 دولار للبرميل. وارتفع خام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأمريكي 3.69 دولار أو 3.6% إلى 105.63 دولار بعد وصوله إلى 107.46 دولار للبرميل في وقت سابق اليوم.
سفن تتعرض لهجوم
وزادت الأسعار بعدما نقلت وكالة فارس، اليوم، عن مصادر محلية قولها إن طهران هاجمت سفينة حربية أمريكية حاولت عبور المضيق وأجبرتها على العودة. ونفت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية تعرض أي سفن تابعة للبحرية لهجمات اليوم.
وقال المحلل في قطاع النفط جيوفاني ستونوفو: «سيظل مسار الأسعار مائلاً نحو الارتفاع ما دام التدفق عبر المضيق مقيداً».
Oil prices extended their gains to nearly 6% during today’s session, after the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that it had detected 4 cruise missiles coming from Iran towards the country, while the U.S. military stated that two U.S. Navy destroyers equipped with guided missiles had entered the Gulf to break the Iranian blockade, and that two American ships had crossed the Strait of Hormuz.
Brent crude futures rose by $6.03 or 5.6% to $114.20 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude increased by $3.69 or 3.6% to $105.63 after reaching $107.46 per barrel earlier today.
Ships Under Attack
Prices increased after the Fars news agency reported today, citing local sources, that Tehran attacked a U.S. warship attempting to cross the strait and forced it to turn back. The U.S. Central Command denied that any Navy ships were attacked today.
Oil sector analyst Giovanni Stonovo said: “The price trajectory will remain tilted towards the upside as long as the flow through the strait is constrained.”
