أُسدل الستار على حياة نجمة موسيقى الريف الأمريكية دوللي بارتون، التي دُفنت في مراسم عائلية خاصة بمدينة ناشفيل بعد ثلاثة أيام من وفاتها عن عمر ناهز 80 عاماً، لتستقر إلى جوار زوجها الراحل كارل دين.
وأقيمت مراسم الدفن يوم الجمعة 28 أغسطس في مقبرة Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum بمدينة ناشفيل في ولاية تينيسي، بحضور أفراد من العائلة والمقربين، تنفيذاً لرغبة بارتون في أن تكون مراسم وداعها بعيدة عن الأضواء.
وأكدت ابنة شقيقتها، ليني ماي بارتون، خبر الدفن عبر منشور مؤثر على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، تحدثت فيه عن العلاقة الوثيقة التي جمعتها بعمّتها، التي كانت بالنسبة إليها مصدراً دائماً للحب والتشجيع والإيمان بقدراتها.
وقالت ليني إنها تعمدت الانتظار حتى تُدفن بارتون قبل أن تحاول التعبير عن مشاعرها بالكلمات، مؤكدة أن الراحلة كانت منذ طفولتها تجعلها تشعر بأن بإمكانها تحقيق أي حلم، ولم تجعل طموحاتها تبدو أكبر من قدرتها.
وأشارت إلى أن بارتون، التي لم تنجب أطفالاً، كانت تتعامل مع أبناء شقيقاتها وكأنهم أبناؤها، وتجاوز دعمها لهم الجانب العاطفي إلى مساعدة فعلية في تحقيق طموحاتهم. وذكرت أن عمتها ساعدتها مالياً خلال دراستها في مدرسة التجميل، كما قدمت لها الدعم في بداية حياتها المهنية.
ودُفنت بارتون إلى جوار زوجها كارل توماس دين، الذي توفي في مارس 2025 بعد زواج استمر نحو 60 عاماً. وتأتي مراسم دفنها بعد فترة قصيرة من رحيله، لتجتمع الراحلة مجدداً مع شريك حياتها في المقبرة نفسها.
وكانت وفاة دوللي بارتون قد أُعلنت في 25 أغسطس، بعدما توفيت في ناشفيل إثر معاناة قصيرة مع مرض السرطان، وفق ما أعلنته عائلتها وممثلها، وسط حضور أفراد من أسرتها إلى جانبها في أيامها الأخيرة.
ورغم أن بارتون اختارت أن يكون وداعها عائلياً وهادئاً، فإن رحيلها أثار موجة واسعة من الحزن والتكريم في الولايات المتحدة وخارجها، خصوصاً في ناشفيل التي ارتبط اسمها بها لعقود باعتبارها إحدى أهم عواصم موسيقى الريف الأمريكية.
وتركت بارتون إرثاً فنياً وإنسانياً امتد لنحو سبعة عقود، بعدما صاغت واحدة من أكثر التجارب نجاحاً في تاريخ الموسيقى الأمريكية، وكتبت آلاف الأغاني، من بينها أعمال تحولت إلى كلاسيكيات مثل Jolene و9 to 5 وI Will Always Love You. كما حصلت خلال مسيرتها على 11 جائزة «غرامي»، وباعت تسجيلاتها أكثر من 100 مليون نسخة عالمياً، بحسب «رويترز».

Her niece, Leni Mae Parton, confirmed the burial news through an emotional post on social media, where she spoke about the close relationship she shared with her aunt, who was a constant source of love, encouragement, and belief in her abilities.
Leni stated that she deliberately waited until Parton was buried before attempting to express her feelings in words, emphasizing that the late star had always made her feel that she could achieve any dream, never making her ambitions seem greater than her capabilities.
She noted that Parton, who did not have children, treated her sisters’ children as if they were her own, and her support for them went beyond emotional backing to actual assistance in achieving their ambitions. She mentioned that her aunt financially helped her during her time in beauty school and supported her at the beginning of her career.
Parton was buried next to her husband Carl Thomas Dean, who passed away in March 2025 after nearly 60 years of marriage. Her burial comes shortly after his passing, reuniting the late star with her life partner in the same cemetery.
Dolly Parton’s death was announced on August 25, after she passed away in Nashville following a brief battle with cancer, as confirmed by her family and representative, with family members by her side in her final days.
Although Parton chose to have a family-oriented and quiet farewell, her departure sparked a widespread wave of sadness and tributes in the United States and beyond, especially in Nashville, a city long associated with her as one of the major capitals of American country music.
