زار وزير الإعلام سلمان بن يوسف الدوسري، اليوم، جريدة أم القرى ومقار منظومة الإعلام في المشاعر المقدسة، وعدداً من الجهات الأمنية.
ووقف على مستوى الجاهزية التشغيلية والفنية، والاطمئنان على سير العمل لنقل شعيرة الحج إلى العالم، وبما يعكس الجهود الاستثنائية للمملكة في خدمة ضيوف الرحمن.
واستهل الجولة بزيارة جريدة أم القرى مطلعاً على مسارات التطوير والتحول الرقمي الذي تشهده الجريدة، بصفتها الجريدة الرسمية للمملكة.
واطلع وزير الإعلام خلال زيارته على آليات العمل التحريري، والفني، والطباعي، والخطط التطويرية لتعزيز المحتوى الرقمي وأدوات النشر.
كما تفقد مرافق الجريدة وأقسامها، واطلع على التقنيات المستخدمة في التوثيق، ومراحل الأرشفة الإلكترونية لتحويل المحتوى الورقي التاريخي إلى مواد رقمية تسهل مراجعتها والبحث فيها.
وفي ختام الزيارة، أكد وزير الإعلام أهمية الاستمرار في تطوير المؤسسات الإعلامية الوطنية ورفع جاهزيتها الرقمية، بما يواكب التحولات التنموية ويدعم مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وتُعد جريدة أم القرى التي أسسها الملك عبدالعزيز بن عبدالرحمن -طيب الله ثراه- عام 1343هـ، الجريدة الرسمية للمملكة العربية السعودية، ووثّقت عبر أكثر من قرن الأنظمة والأوامر والقرارات والتحولات الوطنية المختلفة.
من جهة ثانية، وقف وزير الإعلام على مستوى الاستعدادات في مقار الوزارة في مشعر عرفات، واطلع على استوديوهات هيئة الإذاعة والتلفزيون، وعربة البث المتنقلة واستمع إلى شرحٍ من المختصين عن التقنيات الحديثة المستخدمة.
كما تفقد التجهيزات الإعلامية اللازمة التي هيأتها «واس» بمشعر عرفات لتسهيل العمل الإعلامي لكافة الصحفيين المحلين والشركاء الدوليين، لأداء رسالتهم الإعلامية خلال موسم الحج.
وشدد وزير الإعلام في ختام زيارته التفقدية، على منسوبي الوزارة ومنظومتها المشاركين في تغطية حج هذا العام 1447هـ، أهمية بذل مزيد من الجهود لإبراز جهود المملكة في خدمة ضيوف الرحمن، والاهتمام الذي يوليه خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي عهده، للتيسير على حجاج بيت الله الحرام.
كما زار وزير الإعلام مركز عمليات الحج «القيادة والسيطرة» بالأمن العام، ورئاسة أمن الدولة، واطلع على الجهود الأمنية والتنظيمية المتكاملة لموسم الحج.
The Minister of Media, Salman bin Yusuf Al-Dosari, visited the Umm Al-Qura newspaper and the media system locations in the holy sites today, along with several security agencies.
He assessed the level of operational and technical readiness, ensuring the smooth operation of conveying the rituals of Hajj to the world, reflecting the exceptional efforts of the Kingdom in serving the guests of Allah.
He began the tour by visiting the Umm Al-Qura newspaper, reviewing the development paths and digital transformation that the newspaper is undergoing, as it is the official newspaper of the Kingdom.
During his visit, the Minister of Media was briefed on the editorial, technical, and printing work mechanisms, as well as the development plans to enhance digital content and publishing tools.
He also inspected the newspaper’s facilities and departments, and learned about the technologies used in documentation and the stages of electronic archiving to convert historical paper content into digital materials that facilitate review and search.
At the end of the visit, the Minister of Media emphasized the importance of continuing to develop national media institutions and enhancing their digital readiness, in line with developmental transformations and supporting the objectives of Vision 2030.
The Umm Al-Qura newspaper, founded by King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman – may Allah have mercy on him – in 1343 AH, is the official newspaper of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has documented over a century of laws, orders, decisions, and various national transformations.
On another note, the Minister of Media reviewed the level of preparations at the ministry’s locations in the Arafat site, inspected the studios of the Saudi Broadcasting Corporation, and the mobile broadcasting unit, and listened to an explanation from specialists about the modern technologies used.
He also checked the necessary media preparations that the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) has set up in Arafat to facilitate the media work for all local journalists and international partners, enabling them to carry out their media mission during the Hajj season.
At the conclusion of his inspection visit, the Minister of Media stressed to the ministry’s staff and its system participating in the coverage of this year’s Hajj season 1447 AH the importance of exerting more efforts to highlight the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the guests of Allah, and the attention given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, to facilitate the pilgrimage for the guests of the Sacred House of Allah.
The Minister of Media also visited the Hajj Operations Center, “Command and Control,” at the General Security, and the Presidency of State Security, and reviewed the integrated security and organizational efforts for the Hajj season.
