لم تكن أمسية الدكتورة عزيزة عبدالعزيز المانع في جدة استعادةً للماضي بقدر ما كانت قراءةً لمسافة قطعها المجتمع السعودي بين زمنين، تغيّرت خلالهما صورة التعليم والعمل وحضور المرأة وأدوارها الاجتماعية.
ومن هذه المسافة، استعادت المانع محطات من تجربتها، وزمن «عكاظ» الذي شكّل جسراً حمل كلمتها إلى المجتمع.
وفي أولى فعاليات دورته الثالثة، استضاف «صالون الكلمة الثقافي» في جمعية الثقافة والفنون بجدة المانع في أمسية «من غسق الأمس إلى فجر اليوم»، أدارتها الكاتبة نبيلة محجوب، وسط حضور أكاديمي وثقافي وإعلامي.
المرأة والتحول
وضعت المانع تجربة المرأة السعودية في قلب التحولات التي عاشها المجتمع، مستعيدة محطات من التعليم والعمل والمشاركة الاجتماعية، وما رافقها من تغيّرات امتدت آثارها إلى بنية المجتمع وأسئلته وخيارات أجياله الجديدة.
واستحضرت خلال حديثها جانباً من تجربتها الأكاديمية والصحفية والثقافية، والقضايا التي رافقتها في الكتابة والبحث، وفي مقدمتها التربية والتعليم والمرأة والتحولات الاجتماعية.
الذاكرة ليست حنيناً
وأخذ الحوار مساراً آخر نحو أهمية التوثيق، وحفظ التجارب التي صنعت مراحل من التاريخ الاجتماعي السعودي، ونقلها من الرواية الشفهية والذاكرة الفردية إلى مادة تبقى للأجيال.
وشهدت الأمسية مداخلات تناولت عدداً من القضايا المرتبطة بتجربة المانع والتحولات الاجتماعية والثقافية، بحضور الدكتور معجب الزهراني، والدكتور يوسف العارف، والدكتور زيد الفضيل، والإعلامي سلامة الزيد، والإعلامي عدنان صعيدي، ونخبة من المثقفين والمهتمين.
آل صبيح: الصالون يحتفي بالتجربة والمعرفة
وقال مدير جمعية الثقافة والفنون بجدة محمد آل صبيح لـ«عكاظ»: «صالون الكلمة، بإدارة الكاتبة نبيلة محجوب، صنع خلال دوراته الماضية حضوراً مميزاً عبر أمسيات نوعية أثرت المشهد الثقافي، ونراهن في دورته الثالثة على التجارب التي تركت أثراً، وتحمل من المعرفة والخبرة ما يستحق أن يقدم للأجيال».
وأشار إلى أن اختيار الدكتورة عزيزة المانع لتدشين الدورة الثالثة يأتي لما تمثله تجربتها من امتداد بين التعليم والبحث والكتابة وقضايا المجتمع.
وقبيل الأمسية، تجول الضيوف في صالات الجمعية واطلعوا على المعارض الفنية وصالة الموسيقى وبرامجها الثقافية والفنية، فيما اختُتم اللقاء بتكريم الدكتورة عزيزة المانع والكاتبة نبيلة محجوب.
Dr. Aziza Abdulaziz Al-Mana’s evening in Jeddah was not so much a revival of the past as it was a reading of the distance the Saudi society has traveled between two eras, during which the image of education, work, and the presence and roles of women have changed.
From this distance, Al-Mana recalled stations from her experience, and the era of “Okaz,” which formed a bridge that carried her words to society.
In the first event of its third session, the “Cultural Word Salon” at the Culture and Arts Association in Jeddah hosted Al-Mana in an evening titled “From the Twilight of Yesterday to the Dawn of Today,” moderated by writer Nabila Mahjoub, amidst an academic, cultural, and media presence.
Women and Transformation
Al-Mana placed the experience of Saudi women at the heart of the transformations experienced by society, recalling stations of education, work, and social participation, along with the changes that extended their effects to the structure of society and the questions and choices of its new generations.
During her talk, she evoked aspects of her academic, journalistic, and cultural experience, and the issues that accompanied her in writing and research, foremost among them education, women, and social transformations.
Memory is Not Nostalgia
The dialogue took another direction towards the importance of documentation and preserving the experiences that shaped stages of Saudi social history, transferring them from oral narrative and individual memory to material that remains for future generations.
The evening witnessed interventions that addressed several issues related to Al-Mana’s experience and social and cultural transformations, with the presence of Dr. Mujahed Al-Zahrani, Dr. Youssef Al-Aref, Dr. Zaid Al-Fadhil, media figure Salama Al-Zaid, media figure Adnan Saidi, and a group of intellectuals and interested individuals.
Al-Sabih: The Salon Celebrates Experience and Knowledge
Mohammed Al-Sabih, director of the Culture and Arts Association in Jeddah, told “Okaz”: “The Word Salon, under the management of writer Nabila Mahjoub, has created a distinctive presence through its previous sessions with quality evenings that have enriched the cultural scene. We bet in its third session on experiences that have left an impact and carry knowledge and expertise that deserve to be presented to future generations.”
He pointed out that the choice of Dr. Aziza Al-Mana to inaugurate the third session comes from what her experience represents as a continuum between education, research, writing, and societal issues.
Before the evening, the guests toured the association’s halls and viewed the art exhibitions, the music hall, and its cultural and artistic programs, while the meeting concluded with honoring Dr. Aziza Al-Mana and writer Nabila Mahjoub.
