تشهد رؤية السعودية 2030 تحولاً واسعاً في قطاعي الزراعة والمياه، انعكس في ارتفاع الإنتاج الزراعي، وتعزيز نسب الاكتفاء الذاتي من السلع الإستراتيجية، إلى جانب توسع غير مسبوق في قدرات الأمن المائي، بما يدعم مستهدفات الأمن الغذائي والاستدامة في السعودية.
وسجل القطاع الزراعي نمواً ملحوظاً، إذ ارتفع حجم الإنتاج من نحو 6 ملايين طن في 2016 إلى أكثر من 12 مليون طن في 2025، ما يعكس تطور البنية التحتية الزراعية وزيادة كفاءة الإنتاج المحلي.
دعم مباشر
وضخ صندوق التنمية الزراعية السعودي تمويلات تجاوزت 25 مليار ريال خلال السنوات الخمس الماضية، أسهمت في تحفيز استثمارات زراعية بلغت أكثر من 36 مليار ريال، ما عزز توسع القطاع ورفع قدرته الإنتاجية.
كما قدم برنامج ريف السعودية دعماً مباشراً لصغار المزارعين بقيمة تجاوزت 2.9 مليار ريال بين 2020 و2025، بهدف تمكين الإنتاج المحلي وتحسين دخل الأسر الريفية.
اكتفاء ذاتي
واصلت المملكة تعزيز أمنها الغذائي عبر رفع نسب الاكتفاء الذاتي في سلع إستراتيجية، إذ سجلت: 76% في لحوم الدواجن، و69% في الأسماك والروبيان، و55% في اللحوم الحمراء، و105% في بيض المائدة (فائض إنتاج)، و120% في الألبان (فائض إنتاج).
وتعكس هذه الأرقام تحولاً مهماً نحو تقليل الاعتماد على الاستيراد وتعزيز الإنتاج المحلي.
أمن مائي
في قطاع المياه، ارتفعت قدرات التخزين الإستراتيجي من 13.6 مليون متر مكعب يومياً إلى نحو 30 مليون متر مكعب يومياً، بزيادة تتجاوز 121%، ما يعزز جاهزية المملكة لمواجهة الطلب المتزايد على المياه، كما تواصل السعودية تميزها عالمياً بامتلاكها ثلاث محطات تحلية مياه عائمة، في خطوة تعكس ريادتها في حلول المياه غير التقليدية.
وتعكس هذه المؤشرات التقدم الكبير في ملفي الأمن الغذائي والمائي ضمن رؤية السعودية 2030، إذ نجحت المملكة في مضاعفة الإنتاج الزراعي، وتعزيز الاكتفاء الذاتي، وتطوير قدراتها المائية، بما يعزز استدامة الموارد ويرسخ مكانتها كأحد النماذج الرائدة في الأمن الغذائي عالمياً.
Saudi Vision 2030 witnesses a wide transformation in the agriculture and water sectors, reflected in the increase in agricultural production and the enhancement of self-sufficiency rates for strategic commodities, alongside an unprecedented expansion in water security capabilities, supporting food security and sustainability targets in Saudi Arabia.
The agricultural sector has recorded significant growth, with production volume rising from about 6 million tons in 2016 to more than 12 million tons in 2025, reflecting the development of agricultural infrastructure and increased efficiency of local production.
Direct Support
The Saudi Agricultural Development Fund has injected financing exceeding 25 billion riyals over the past five years, contributing to stimulating agricultural investments that exceeded 36 billion riyals, enhancing the sector’s expansion and increasing its production capacity.
The Saudi RIF program has also provided direct support to small farmers amounting to over 2.9 billion riyals between 2020 and 2025, aiming to empower local production and improve the income of rural families.
Self-Sufficiency
The Kingdom has continued to enhance its food security by raising self-sufficiency rates in strategic commodities, recording: 76% in poultry meat, 69% in fish and shrimp, 55% in red meat, 105% in table eggs (production surplus), and 120% in dairy (production surplus).
These figures reflect a significant shift towards reducing reliance on imports and enhancing local production.
Water Security
In the water sector, strategic storage capacities have increased from 13.6 million cubic meters per day to about 30 million cubic meters per day, an increase of over 121%, enhancing the Kingdom’s readiness to meet the growing demand for water. Saudi Arabia continues to excel globally by owning three floating desalination plants, a step that reflects its leadership in unconventional water solutions.
These indicators reflect significant progress in the food and water security files within Saudi Vision 2030, as the Kingdom has succeeded in doubling agricultural production, enhancing self-sufficiency, and developing its water capabilities, reinforcing resource sustainability and establishing its position as one of the leading models in global food security.
