زادت أسعار النحاس اليوم، إذ أدى تراجع أسعار النفط بعد أن أوقفت الولايات المتحدة وإيران تبادل هجمات استمرت نحو أسبوعين إلى تهدئة المخاوف بشأن مخاطر التضخم على نمو الاقتصاد العالمي. وارتفع سعر النحاس في بورصة لندن للمعادن بنسبة 0.32% إلى 136,88.5 دولار للطن.
السوق تترقب
وقال محلل الأسواق توم برايس: «السوق تترقب حالياً نوعاً من التسوية، وتحاول أن تضع في حساباتها احتمالات إحلال السلام بدلاً من استمرار الحرب». وأضاف: «شهدت تشيلي عواصف غير معتادة، مما ضغط على شبكة توزيع الكهرباء وأثار تساؤلات حول توقعات الإنتاج في قطاع النحاس ككل».
وتشير بيانات هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية إلى أن نصيب تشيلي من إجمالي إنتاج النحاس عالمياً بلغ 23%، بما يعادل 5.3 مليون طن، العام الماضي. وكانت وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية (البنتاغون) قد علقت (الجمعة) حملة غارات جوية مكثفة على إيران استمرت 13 ليلة. وأوقفت طهران إطلاق النار لمدة يومين. وردت طهران على كل ليلة من الهجمات الأمريكية بشن هجمات تستهدف دولاً مجاورة تضم قواعد أمريكية.
Copper prices increased today, as the decline in oil prices following the cessation of hostilities between the United States and Iran, which lasted nearly two weeks, eased concerns about inflation risks to global economic growth. The price of copper on the London Metal Exchange rose by 0.32% to $136,88.5 per ton.
The market is awaiting
Market analyst Tom Price said: “The market is currently awaiting some sort of settlement and is trying to factor in the possibilities of peace instead of the continuation of war.” He added: “Chile has experienced unusual storms, which have put pressure on the electricity distribution network and raised questions about production forecasts in the copper sector as a whole.”
Data from the U.S. Geological Survey indicates that Chile’s share of total global copper production was 23%, equivalent to 5.3 million tons, last year. The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) had suspended (on Friday) an intensive airstrike campaign against Iran that lasted for 13 nights. Tehran had ceased fire for two days. Tehran responded to each night of U.S. attacks by launching strikes targeting neighboring countries that host U.S. bases.
